Questions & Answers

Here we have collected the answers to the most common questions!

  • Pluto dog trailer: Wich trailer size fits my dog?

In order to identify the optimal size of the dog trailer, you should consider the weight, height and required resting space for your dog. The trailer is intended to be stable and safe, and should therefore not be too large. If you think the trailer is a little too spacious for your dog, it can be complemented with a dog bed, blankets or similar. The Pluto M is an allround size with a weight limitation of 35 kg. Interior height is 63 cm. This means that breeds like cocker spaniel, border collie, bulldog, terrier, dachshund and similar breeds fit well. The Pluto L is a trailer for larger breeds, and the weight limitation is 40 kg for bicycling and 45 kg for strolling. The interior height is 82 cm, and the trailer is therefore suitable for breeds like golden retriever, German shepard and dobermans. Perhaps are you also bringing 2 dogs?

  • Can Pluto be folded?

Yes, Pluto is very easy to fold either if you keep the wheels on or simply remove them to make it even smaller. Remember to take out pillows, blankets etc that are inside the stroller before you fold it.

  • Is the Pluto dog trailer suitable for all types of dogs?

Pluto comes in 2 different sizes and weight limits, so it's important to choose one that fits your dog's size and weight. The Pluto M is suitable for small/medium breeds, while the Pluto L is suitable for larger dogs.

  • How do I introduce my dog to a dog trailer?

It may take some time for your dog to get comfortable with a new trailer. Start by letting your dog explore the trailer while stationary, and reward them with treats and praise. Gradually, you can start moving the stroller gently while giving rewards to help the dog associate it with an enjoyable experience. Read our article about getting used to dog trailers.
